About Neighbor Books

Neighbor Books is an independent bookstore in downtown McKinney, TX. We strive to be a warm and welcoming community where people can interact with real people around great stories and big ideas.

We believe reading is a deeply human act that trains us in the act of empathy and empowers us to better care for one another. Neighbor Books also seeks to return what has been lost in a digital world. We want the tactile, the present, the patient, and the slow. We know the reward is worth the wait.

That’s why in addition to books, Neighbor Books is a purveyor of and advocate for analog products that empower more present ways of being and host partner businesses who are essential parts of the revolution like mckinney camera (independent documentary filmmaking) and heyday press (luxury letterpress printing).
